Welcome to the aural portrait of my hometown Engelskirchen, Germany.

I live in Bellingroth which was first called Belkinrode in the late Middle Ages.The community of Engelskirchen is located near Cologne in the Agger-Valley. It is characterized among other things by the hilly landscape, two large caves, various steel companies, half-timbered houses, dairy farming, the former cotton factory Ermen & Engels, the annual carnival celebrations and the Christ Child post office, to which every year children from all over the world send their Christmas wishes - and receive answers.

A cinematic suite - music and field recordings of nature and civilisation in the area. As well as inspirations by two famous „neighbours“ of the commune: Karlheinz Stockhausen and Conny Plank.
